Workshops at Sewell Mills
These one-day workshops are part of an ongoing series, "Bring-a-Dish Painting." We start the day with a pot-luck sharing of food, then paint the subject for the rest of the day. All of these workshops are designed with the novice watercolorist in mind, although experienced painters will also get a lot from the day. These workshops fill fast, so sign up early to reserve a chair. Contact Sewell Mills Studio, (410) 200-1743 or contact using email for more information or to register for each of these workshops. 50.00 for each one-day workshop. Register early to assure a chair. Please pay for each workshop separately.
Small Bird on Small Paper
May 23rd, 11:00 am until 4:30 pm. We'll paint a small native songbird of our choice as we learn how to quickly compose and paint a detailed watercolor study. Texture, color and composition will be the focus for this painting. Something for any watercolorist, new or experienced, to learn. Paper provided.
Two Crabs: A Delicious Watercolor
June 20th, 11:00 am until 4:30 pm. Brown paper, a mallet and two perfectly-cooked Maryland crabs are a great watercolor workshop to head into Independence Day. We'll look at contrast, reds and geometric shapes in this fun little watercolor. Paper provided.
Summer Road Amid Corn
July 18th, 11:00 am until 4:30 pm. A warm Summer day, a dirt road and a corn as high as an elephant's eye will make for a pretty watercolor painting. Join in as we paint a view of a rural Summer scene in this easy watercolor workshop. Paper provided.
